I created this series of drop caps for the annual 36 Days of Type event (2021 edition). My aim was to use a unique, highly decorative style of type for each letter and figure, with a limited palette. 

Inspiration for the project was favorite letters from my "OMG Mom Was Right" project. I vectorized my drawings, and added effects and ornaments in Illustrator.

Images from my "OMG Mom Was Right" project provided inspiration for my 2021 36 Days of Type project. I took screenshots of my favorite letters, which served as the starting point for vectoring. As you can see in the photo above, I also compiled the letters to ensure diversity of style and form in the set overall. Letters from the project were altered for the figures in the project in the last two rows of the screen.
